I don't think so. The only V-10 Ford was messing around with was their Boss 351 which is a 99-04 model year that had a V-10 in it. However, I heard that engine is now in the Shelby Cobra Concept. Not sure if its true. Wouldn't it be nice if one of SE models came with one but I'm highly doubtful.

There was also the Ford 427 concept that had a V10. It doesn't really make sense to me. The new Cobra concept also has it, but I hope they use a V8 instead.

Ford never made a production V10 Mustang they made a concept that was too powerful and just shredded the tires and got like 0mpg so they killed the idea but other than that there wasn't a V10 Mustang ad hopefully never will, if they have to they can just go to the 5.4 used in the F150 and GT. The V10 was used in the Shelby Cobra Concept car which was the easiest way to get a 427 in the car with a modern engine. And yes they used the same engine in the 427 concept which was a sweet looking sedan. there wasn't a boss 351 from 99-04 atleast not from Ford on the Mustang and a 351 is about a 5.7-6.0 liter V8 unless we are talking Porsche but don't even go there in this topic please.

T-Bird, this is what Mustang07 was talking about. I don't think he meant it was a production model.

Thanks, mit5005, i couldn't find the magazine of that to scan it in. If that thing was production the price would be astronomical and then you gotta pay for gas, which would be in gallons per mile.

um... i hate to confirm, or dispel roumors... but i know the answer, and its quite juicy... i have hinted at it earlier offerimg 'optional engines'

ford has been playing around with the idea of N/A v10s for a while... so give some more time, perhaps a reality

oh yeah and... t-bird...

just because they have only had test beds doesnt mean anything
so citing this information as a good reason that the Cobra wont have ten cylinders is quite absurd. also... i believe it isnt any real connection to persons who work, or are in the know of persons who work in the SVT department

and no photos exist of the car, as it is still under heavy development.
it isnt a boss 351, or anything remotely similar... not in development with saleen, but in some conjuntion with Roush contractors

well, let me know if they make a V10 mustang, and then give me a few passes or something to the offices of whoever made that stupid decision. That way I can go in there and slap them all in the face. A 351ci V8 is nothing to ask for... in fact, its already a popular Ford engine. If they make a V10, its retarded. It kills the car's herritage. Especially if they put a V8 in a Ford GT, and then a V10 in a mustang... like WTF! All I have to say is "you better not even think of it Ford..."

i dont at all agree...... REMOTELY...

the 351 hasnt been made since the early 80s if my memory serves... the 330 is the largest production gasoline engine they make... nothing wrong with 427 cubes
