last night we had a big storm here. 3 bolts hit not much more than 500ft from my apartment. scared the shit out of me the first time because i wasn't expecting it.
how do people get pics of lightning like that? i try it but it just comes out as a big blue splotch

well i say a show on stormchasers and photographers, and they follow the clouds and set up, then they pic a spot and wait, they have the button in there hand and when lighting comes the jump and push the button. But the key i think is that they take more then one at a time.

usually people set up video cameras and then just do a screen shot,
there's this crazy picture in my physics book of a girls hair standing up, the caption sais that she was standing up on this rock and her hair was standing up, they left thinking it was just some freak of nature, lightning struck that point 3 or 4 minutes later... that would be a freaky situation
