Why can''t we use the torrent sharing? Seems like a good solution for sharing between JW members to me.

because this is a video links section and we mean HTTP links only, we don't want to see torrents or other kind of p2p links here.

I checked the ip with my ftp client. Seems like they've changed the password.

TT, i know that you don't want torrent links posted here, but what is it that you don't like about the torrent system?

The fact they don't give decent speed.. not in 100% of cases, while usually a proper HTTP url can easily max most connections

With ADSL yesterday I downloaded at a high speed, but there are 50 parts from the first DVD and I decided to cancel the download.

torrents are all depends on seeder, they decide how max speed they want give
for example i created torrent for Jeremy Clarksons Head To Head
& sent max speed for 10kbs only & people being downloading for 3 days
& im still seeding it, its not killing my RAM either, the point is let the prog do its work will just keep it on as much as we can
& torrent seems to be good nowadays

Yes but it doesn't even work for all members either, the max i ever got while at uni was about 2kb/s on a torrent (on a 10mb LAN) and while its not the case for all they just aren't the best or preferred way to share files, as has been expressed on numerous occasions by the Admin's If i was you i'd just leave it the message is pretty clear and written on the forum comment so you can work out they are not liked

Thank you, I know what a p2p network is, thanks.

Well, we don't like them, period. We don't want to see topics with torrents or p2p links on JW, period. thanks
