knee down.

the only reason foot down is faster on dirt is because on dirt you tend to slide around. foot down puts you in a position where you push down on the bike and have the ability to control to slide out more with the weight above the bike.

knee down, the bike is more upright and you can carry more corner speed because you have a bigger contact patch.

but style is just that... you can go knee down or foot out and still be as fast either way. you can have weight forward or weight back.... depends on your style of riding...

trail brake? weight mid forward pulling towards the inside rear.

power through?

i dont know... i dont do it. HA!

but its all preference... but theoretically. knee down is allways faster... its just harder on light bikes because you have to be smooth.
