Zonda F the fastest car around Nordschleife
We would like to announce very honoured that our homologated version of the Pagani Zonda F (602hp) has achieved the RECORD OF NÜRBURGRING 2005. Although the bad weather conditions (it was rather cold), the cold asphalt and the late hour ( 08.00 pm) the homologated version of the Zonda F achieved the record.
We are very happy and very satisfacted, because the conditions of the circuit were not so favourable.
You can find the incredible time in the German magazine "Sport Auto".

No times but the rumour says 7.32,5 min but if its true CGT is still faster.

^ for a production car (25 units a year I think)
I would love to see the time/driver vs. the time/driver of the CGT

Since edo competotion posted a 7.15,9x about a week ago and these news were presented today, I'm going to be disappointed with anything slower than 7.15. Not that I can believe the improvement in time - 30s at this level is beyond substantial, its absolutely amazing. And to think they have an optional "Club Racing Kit" on top of this...

Doesn't ferrari only gives times to the press for 2 tracks?
and they don't (ferrari) need to prove anything on the track anyways, if you tell a Yuppie that a Z06 is faster on a track they will still buy the ferrari
track times are for real men, and real men don't wear pink shirts to meetings

Well, Ferrari mightn not go there to test their cars or pose a lap time, but how about some experienced ferrari driver?

i dont mean to burst the party... but to me 7:32.5 is pretty Damn impressive for a time around the nordschlife!!!!!!!!!!!
first, is got less power then the CGT... ok only slightly neglagably less power, but still less power.
second, aero is re-thought, and is quite more potent then previous Zonda's, which aids in somewhere around 15 turns... and people who know much often say that that cars are faster because of aided speed in the faster turns vs. speed in slower turns.
i STILL think the car is Ugly as sin, but i definately have some respect for it similarly to my respect to the Bugatti Veryon as an engineering FEAT.
also, i think its one of the best sounding engines in existance, even though its still a Mercedes   8)
