Default Top 10 Unbreakable Sports Records

Schumi comes in at Number 9

Michael Schumacher's 7 championships
F1 Driving

Schumacher made his Formula 1 debut in 1991, and just one year later, he managed a third-place finish in the overall drivers' standings. By 1994, Schumacher had truly arrived, winning the first of his seven F1 points titles. He performed the feat again in 1995, then moved over to the Ferrari team and won each year between 2000 and 2004. His 2003 season victory moved him ahead of Juan Fangio, who finished atop the standings five times.

Schumi also holds the F1 record for most race wins with 83 (Alain Prost is a distant second with 51) and most wins in a season with 13. All three records are unlikely to be overturned.

Does anybody else find that the list is ever so slightly biased towards American sports. Personally I count seven of the ten as American based sports. What about Don Bradmans batting average of 99.94 if you want a really untouchable record.

yeah, you are absolutely right, it is biased, but then again it is from a US magazine; at least they know who schumi is; kimi needs one good season to break the 13 win record, let's hope last gp was an indication of thing to come, starting so far behind he finished second, wow, that is certainly michael schumacher like

With more races in a season, this record is not exactly unbeatable. But I don't see Schumi's all time win and points record can be broken, or the # of Champaionship wins.

It comes down to the fact that alot of those other sports americans don't care about.. Being an american magazine I doubt anyone would care about soccer or criquet records for example. These type of lists are stupid anyway imho, as it mostly comes down to opinion when you get to the few.

but schumi still doesn't have the pole positions record does he? even tho i believe he's only 1 or 2 poles away from Senna's record, he still hasn't beaten it

The #10 record was equalled not long ago by a polish boxer called Dariusz Michalczewski. He lost the #50 in a rather controversial fight as he lost on points although IMO he was much better than the oponnent.

Well, it seems like there will at least be 18 races in a season, probably 19 like 2005, so 13 isn't too dominating.
