Cadillac STS and Hummer H3 win awards for interiors
Detroit, Michigan - The 2005 Cadillac STS and the 2006 Hummer H3 have won in their respective categories for automotive "Interior of the Year", presented by Ward's Auto World magazine.
The Cadillac STS won in the category of "industry-at-large, premium priced car." The Hummer H3, which begins shipping to dealers later this month, won the "industry-at-large, popular priced truck."
The STS's interior choices include aluminum trim on V6 models, and two colour choices of wood trim on V8 models. Other features include Tuscany leather seats, Bose 5.1 audio system and four-colour adjustable navigation screen.
The H3 features bright trim accents and more use of colour than any other Hummer, including three colour choices for cloth seats and three for leather. The centre stack is finished in "Nissha", a new material with a metallic finish but resistant to light reflection and smudges.
More than 80 journalists and 900 industry executives were polled for the winning selections; thirteen cars and ten trucks were nominated for Interior of the Year awards.

Is this ironic or what? GM for best interior? I wonder if all 13 cars are from GM

ROFLMAO....I guess most of the people judging must've been Americans, or under American tasteless influence

wow man, accept money and lose reputation.. CAR and DRIVER lost my interest when they keep saying the Corvette is the best... When tests are made and one of the cars is american, its almos certain it won... plain dumb american bias.

That STS interior doesn't look bad...but I'm willing to bet most of the cars in that same category beat it out. Still looks kind of nice in itself.
Now the H3...there are no two ways about it, that cannot have the best interior of the year, no damn way.

Honestly, I can't imagine that tacky plastic trying to rival with german cars for instance. This has to be the best world-wide scale prank ever played.
