Word XP problems

Yes, I'll look like a noob
in my work's laptop I have some issues with word xp. I try to predeterminate some characteristics like some buttons, the page's size and margins, etc. But eveytime I use again word, all those personal settings dissapear
Sometimes isn't a big problem, but when I send a page to the printer, I cause a paper "jam" because word sends the page as an A4 sized paper.

can anyone tell me if there's a file where my options are kept? and if this file just vanishes when I close Word?

After changing the page settings, did you "save as default"? There's a "Default" button in page setup.

^already done that... lots of times, but it keeps changing

try to reinstall printers drivers, or maybe download new ones
