Also saw some classic cars and hot rods on the way home. Will make a separate thread for those. A few people at the hot rod show were very complimentary about the S2000, and this lad shouted 'give it some VTEC!' as we drove off.

Which of course I did

Congrats mate - nice choice of car!! The colour is perfect for it, not as 'in your face' as some of the flashy ones you can get.

I have always like the dash display on the S2000's, not sure why but it just looks cool.

Hope you and your car have a happy future together.

Aye...

My CRX VTEC was stock except for a scorpion straight through pipe which was fitted in place of the catalytic converter. It absolutely amazing from 6-8k RPM! I don't think you can get away with no cat these days though; the CRX was pre-1993 so it was legal (in the UK).

Stick that vid on putfile and post the link up here, I am interested to hear this S2000 you are on about...

ah,illegal to have no cat now,get stopped and found with no cat and its £960 fine....not a small ammount.coz at the time of me getting my exhaust iw as going to get a 4-2-1 manifold aswell with a de-cat pipe, but after hearing the fine i simply said "fuck that" and didnt bother getting one as the sports cat cost almost as much as the manifold.lol

im off to bed right now but im getting up at 6am to watch the F1 so if you want toadd me to MSN mate feel free and ill send that vid to you then.if not ill sort sumthin else out.

Any pre-1993 does not have to have a cat in the UK... Then (1999 was when I had my CRX), now, and forever!

Same with seatbelts and a whole multitude of other stuff (if the car was made before something became mandatory, then you don't need to retrofit it)

Congrats on the S2000, TransAm!

I can't comment on what it's like to drive, but I read enough positive reviews about it. I sat in one though, and it has that great feeling of being cocooned. Great looks as well!
