Default Stevie Ray Vaughan

Today is the anniversary of his death. One of my favourite musicians. He is great.

if i had a guitar when i was 11, i could play thunderstruck too

key point, thunderstruck/AD /DC isn't hard to play.

I am surprised you would rather just randomly ask "Who's Stevie ray Vaughn?" - rather than simply self-researching to fill this gap in your knowledge?

I understand that asking someone is a segway into conversation and and a way to interact with others - but I also know that self-study and self-research is the greatest way to enhance your general knowledge - because ont he way to the answer to the question "Who is Stevie Ray Vaughn?" you would come across other untold bits of valid peripheral information that overall would expand your general knowledge.

I don't bring this up to belittle or antagonize - but just as a suggestion - you are apparently a law student, and am surprised you have so little motivation to self discover.

Clapton lacked soul when playing the blues (yeah, i prolly get a lot of flac for that) oh well.... and i'm def. a Clapton fan. Jimmy Paige had soul when playing the blues.

favorite SRV song.... Tin Pan Ally

it is a peice of plastic so when you are playing your $2000 strat all everyone can see is SRV and it makes you look like a TOOL on stage. but it sounds clean and crisp. but give me a rory gallagher strat or a 57' white body over it anyday.

ok he didn't put as much of his body into his playing as others did. I love jimmy to death, prob one of my fav. of all time if not fav. but he is sloppy (but i like that) clapton is clean and crisp the man doesn't make mistakes when he plays he is like a machine. his fingers are so strong and fast he lives up to the old saying 'clapton is god' But this lack of 'soul' is why he always plays bridesmaid on all time guitar lists.

Tin Pan Ally is an amazing song. but everyime i listen to it i don't see SRV i see hendrix sitting in an empty bar just jammin. (i guess that is where SRV got it from, he said hendrix used to come to him in is dreams and feed him riffs, kinda messed up)
