greatest heavy metal band
Uhh.. no.. They aren't even heavy metal any more man.. That shipped sailed after the black album.

Greatest heavy metal band ever... Led Zep prolly, with Maiden, Dream Theater, and any number of other bands well beyond Metallica.
Now that Ive got that outta the way.. Some comments..

Man that kids hands can move.. I cant imagine though how poor his life must be that his parents most likely (yeah I know im assuming) forced him to practice to that amount at that age.. I just cant see a kid sticking to something for that long at that age without partental interference..
But hes damn good.

[history lesson]Zepplin is the greatest HARD ROCK, heavy metal is diff as it is heavy riff based music, Black Sabbath is noted as the first HEAVY METAL band, yet Iommi always call himself part of a Hard Rock Band. the term heavy metal is noted for the use of a "metalic or fuzz" box with the amp turned up to 10,

beating out Black Sabbath by 4 years or so, Blue Cheer was the first noted band to go into the studio and turn the amps up. [/history lesson]

but in the end Metallica isn't close to Sabbath or Zepplin

You don't get that good at something you don't want to do.

Thats your take.. Id tend to disagree and say some of Zeps stuff was metal and some was hard rock.
Then again the whole genre is sorta lossely defined as some people think Crue and GnR are heavy metal which they arent. Regardless Metallica isn't even hard rock anymore.

If we are talking pure metal Id have to say Iron Maiden.. When I think metal there the first ones that pop into my mind. Regardless Metallica has as much place in the same sentence in terms of talent or metal as myself.... And no Im not complimenting myself. Whether you like what theyve done since black, youd be hard placed to say any of there instruments are stressed all that much or the music is all that heavy.

You don't get that good at something you don't want to do.
Ever watched Ice skating or Gymnastics.... Thats all Im saying.

Ahhh music Genres suck balls!

I really dont know what is what.

What is metal, what is heavy metal, what is rock, what is hard rock, what is pop.....

I mean pop music..I think thats the most retarted thing ever cause way too many generes fall into that category...

I mean britney spears and coldplay pop music? lol.......polar opposites.......

I say get rid of music genres.
