Default Info on the New Ferrari 430 Monza!

Ferrari is to replace its 'entry-level' 360 Modena with this: the 430 Monza. Ferrari is said to have registered the numbers '430' as a trademark, indicating that the company's 4.2-litre V8 engine could be enlarged for this new model to 4.3 litres; an output of 450bhp is estimated. This engine will remain mid-mounted.

Its front and rear-end Pininfarina-penned styling, with vertically-stacked headlights and redesigned air intakes, is heavily influenced by that of the Enzo Ferrari: more angular, and more aggressive in its stance. Like the Enzo, the 430 could feature an adjustable rear spoiler. It is expected to be formally unveiled early next year, possibly at the Detroit Motor Show in January, with sales following in summer 2005. A convertible version and a lightweight, stripped-out Challenge Stradale model are predicted to follow in 2006.

Very niuce pics , this looks like the real thing , look at the back enzo styled lights , but the front does not seem to changed , maybe its still a mule , but the lights arent from the 360 , and 450 seems not that much to compete with the gallardo

450 is not much?

The CS already beats the Gallardo and its 75bhp short. Im sure that being 50bhp short wont make that much of a difference.

Yes but the CS is a stripped car , while the Murcielago is a car with all comodities

^^^ dude isnt it the 430.

The car seems a lot different from the pictures, the front lights seem to be long and elongated from the pics and also the rear lights are smililar to that of the enzo too....

I think you mean Galardo.

Horsepower figures arent everything. An Elise will take on 70% of the cars on a regular trackday.

360Cs has more power then the GT3 aswel but they are still evenly matched

430 = 360 melted with enzo?? :shock:

The rear is obviously enzo-like....

But look at the shape of the front light~

It seems more slim than current 360~

And 4.3L 450 bhp...

Ferrari must feel the big pressure after Lambo launched the Galardo!!!

im waiting for the official press photos because i dont think ferrari would just seemingly graft the back end of an enzo onto a 360, cause this is what this looks like. not very original, but if they do it pinifarina will get it right, ferrari and its designers always do! 8)

Nice, nice, nice Still waiting for some pics without the "cellotape" on in order to reaveal all the details. 450 won't exactly put it onto the Gallardo territory, but the CS will definatelly do just that and more.

I guess that the substitute of the 360 is going to be a little trim of the 360....as the 360 is actually for me a little trim of the 355 as well

I think that the engine is going to be biggened a bit, and maintaining the same type of engine, updating the software of the engine as much as they can, and getting a car which must have about 500 in order to compete against the lambo gallardo, the porshe 911 Turbo, GT2, GT3.......with 2 types of gearboxes.....and a bit improvement of everything...suspension, brakes......

On the other hand....the car looks good(as every compact ferrari for me), and it resembles a bit the Enzo actually

Why does everyone have this idea that you need the same amount of horsepower as the opposition in order to compete?

And this isnt the econo or sedan industry. The galardo had ZERO impact on Ferrari sales probably. People who buy Ferrari dont care if its a second faster or slower then some lambo. Anyway what lambo are we talking about? Its more appropriate to say Ferrari Vs. Audi.

Yeah right now it looks pretty much a cross between an Enzo Ferrari and a 360.....but lets wait for the press pics to be out ....they'll give us a clear idea of what it will look like
Cant wait any longer now!!!
