didn't this happen before like in the early 80's companies dropping out of motor sport because of economic turmoil

nascar also restricted test days not that i watch nascar tho

Porsche quit ALMS.
Suzuki quit WRC.
Subaru may quit WRC.

Suzuki is done with their short stint in WRC and Honda is dropping it's AMA program.

And yet again the cheapest aftermarket will continue to be the pushrod V8 HotRod market... it has survived far worse times than this.

Maybe the Junkyard rebuild that was the ting of the 70's and 80's will make a comback.

God to love the good old american pushrod engine.
But now the gm won't get some of the bailout money what will happend whit small company's like mosler?

It's not like GM's just going to shut down the engine production line. Well... Not till CAFE kills them off.
