Default 1993 mr2, and other rediculous things I saw this week

Well over the last few weeks Ive driven past a yellow 1993 turbo mr2 on the way to class. I decided last night to check it out and I was in for a suprise.

I'm looking for a track car, preferably something sub 5000 dollars, I figure a mr2 should be about that right? First bad sign when walking through the door, this mr2 apparently has 4000 miles on it. Who only puts 4000 miles on that old of a car. I decided to ask anyway. So anyway, the price .... 49000 usd...
Needless to say Im not the new owner. What person in their right mind would buy a 20 year old budget sports car for the cost of a brand new corvette or elise?

The crazy thing this week was even more disturbing. I wish Id had my camera with me. Pulling up to the red light a semi pulls up next to me. Said semi besides being covered in lights, has spinners.

Sigh what is the world comming too?

well a MR2 Turbo would be a good car. but i wouldnt really want a 93 because teh 93 was more prone to understeer than the 91-92 they changed the suspension set up because the 91-92 would get oversteer. also on the 1993 they added in the T-Top as a standard feature. but that is one horrible deal. and on the spinners. theyre everywhere even on minivans. hope that helps if you are still interested in MR2's

I can understand that a collector would be willing to pay a large amount but not $49k for a MR2 turbo...I also second the 91-91 mr2 if you are still looking to get one...it is always easier to make a car neutral when it understeers than make it neutral when it understeers, or so goes my experience with prepping cars for track and auto-x

I think you can get a pretty damn nice condition Supra for 49k ..... :fist:
Is there a "Get Rich for Dummies" book selling something in chapters or something?
