T-Bird theirs a lil blue oval on the car that says Ford so I geuss this is a Co-op vehicle between the two companies.

No car can replace the Ford GT its built like a woman this new one is built like a Mustang I wondered what a new age Mustang would look like?

Ford GT has history and Grace this one isn't shit yet.

that's not a new age mustang it's a new age Daytona Coupe a VERY different car.
Yes it may say FORD on the hood but I would still consider anything built by Shelby a Shelby not a Ford Shelby you don't say a Shelby Ford Mustang GT500 do you?
You don't say Shelby AC Ford Cobra 427 aswell do you? If it is a Shelby it's a Shelby if it's a Saleen it's a Saleen if it's a Roush it's a Roush regardless if it has a Ford symbol on it or not, eventhough all of them have VIN numbers from Ford. If this is a Daytona remake than it also has History and Grace they are one of the rarest cars made and very few still exist today, there are more GT40's left than Daytona Coupes, this car could have alot of history if it is a Daytona remake smae with the new Cobra concept car.

as much money as ford has lost in the past few years, you really think they would waste this much money on two concepts of the same basic car and not release something?

Also Ford GT Guy wasnt saying this is replaicng the mustang, he was saying the Ford GT of today is like the Mustang Launch of the 60s. Thats what i took from it.

Wow, the first really beautiful ford....ahem sorry, Shelby. Just as gorgeous as the original cobra. Silvia, this is not a GT replacement... where you got that idea? Specially the very same week of a GT first delivery! Is it the new daytona or are they gonna stick with the previous concept?

This is what the Shelby Series 1 should have been to start with.

I imagine this is yet another car based on the aluminum structure of the Ford GT....if you recall there was a Cobra concept car with a V10 at the NAIAS in February that took the place by storm. It had many of the same chassis components as the GT, and this could well be a "coupe" version of the Cobra much like the original Daytona car was a rebodied, more aerodynamic version of the AC Cobra racer.

Thank you TT and Number 77. It seems to be the complement to the recent Cobra concept, just as the Daytona Coupe complemented the original cobra

they will NEVER make it in to production. like the Nomad concept GM made. focus group my ass

by the way, Daytona Coupes are extremely rare. like 6 or so. all others are replicas, but only one is a true remake, the Superperformance Daytona, which was created by the guy who designed it in 1964.

so this is the replacement for the Ford GT?
no, but the funny thing is the Daytona Coupe was replaced by the GT40 in Le Mans

this is just a for the hell of it car as I said they have nowhere to even build the damn thing if they decided to. Unless Shelby himself want's to build these we won't see them anytime soon.
