Default new LCD screen got diffuse text

I got my Acer AL2051W today. It's a '20 widescreen. I have enabled clear type, and even downloaded something from microsoft to clear my text up. None of this worked really. I use the standard 15pin cable, and I have a 128mb Nvidia GeForce FX Go5600. The Computer is a laptop, HP Pavillion zd7431 3ghz 2gb ram. Current resolution is at 1600*1024.

Are you running it at the native resolution ?

EDIT: try 1600x1050

You might need something like powerstrip if your laptop doesnt support that exact resolution

Goto display properties and with a bit of luck your monitor will have told your laptop that it can support that resolution and allow you to select it. I suspect that the laptop doesnt support that resolution and thats why everything looks blury, at least that is what my monitors look like at anything other that the native 1600x1200 resolution.
