I seriously don't see this VDC fiasco lasting. Maybe the cover up is that the warranty period is actually the break in period lol

The warranty is going to expire anyways, and anyone who buys a GTR isn't going to wring it's neck as soon as thy're out of the showroom by doing full blown launch control less starts, unless they're a motoring journalist that is. To me that makes it a little less of an issue.

now who is making assumptions when the print is clear as day in black and white, and all over the GTR forums posted by GTR owners?

The ECU would log every single thing you do with your car and there's nothing you can do about it. Especially in Japan, where they can track you with satellites.

The Jesus-mobile has fanboise so worked up that now they are not even believing actual owners of actual GT-R's.. hehehe

The point is that nissan want to keep these cars OUT of the local smash repairs and pick a part shops
Why would they care? Unless its repaired with Nissan parts they then can void those parts of the warrenty.. And if it is repaired with them then guess whose making a profit?

Im starting to wonder how much these special services cost.. Whats the true cost of the car ownership?

Apparently, in Japan at least, each mandatory full service costs $1000 after you've been on the track.

Well... I guess it's not really a service. More like an inspection.

I also hear that dealers have to be specially tooled and employ specialists, making it rather expensive for official dealers/service centers, so Nissan's thinking that all the profits from their expensive servicing should go to itself. Makes sense for a business, but it won't make it popular.

What Nissan is doing is driving all business to local repair shop since most owners will void the warranty anyways.
