Default Nissan GTR Insurance Fraud Attempt + youtube = busted!

Remember that Nissan GTR R35 that crashed following a lighter weight car on a winding road at night? Seems it's popped it's head out again... the owner is a 21 year old who is now charged with six felonies associated with insurance fraud...

Apparently, he "owned up" to the original damage, and reneged on his first attempt at an insurance claim saying he'd pay to fix the damage from his own pocket. Somehow, months later, he attempted to claim he was in a second wreak.

The insurance investigator found the video on youtube of his car. 76,000$ in estimated damage (what?!).

Well, in a way - insurance is insurance - if it gets smashed, they should pay

I agree, I don't see why he reneged on the first insurance claim attempt. He was driving, and he crashed... He wasn't street racing... definitely driving dangerously, and poorly; but so do most people who crash on the roads.

Insurance policies are a "barter" in general......the insurance company bets that you won't crash while the policy holder bets that he will....the price of his bet is the insurance premium. This mug definitely won the bet!

Which is the price of the car? A 76.000 repair cost should be near total loss

Which don't make sense at all. Why would he choose to pay for the repairs in the first place only to change his mind and then pretend to have a 2nd crash.
