Default Toyota to deforest and flatten mountains to build a hybrid car facility

Typical Toyota hypocrisy. It makes this ad even more disgusting.

June 22 (Bloomberg) -- Toyota Motor Corp. is plotting its future amid 1,631 acres (660 hectares) of rice paddies that date to the 17th century and cedar forests. Here, in central Japan’s Shimoyama village, a 30-minute drive from its Toyota City headquarters, the world’s biggest automaker plans a research center with at least 10 kilometers of road courses to fine-tune its vehicles.

lol.. if only the 'greens' knew.. but since they're all ships they only know what the shepherd wants them to know.. to me, this is too funny... and good for Toyota, being able to eat your cake and have it too is awesome..

The greenist thing to do is to find some empty factories and rehab them to build the new hybrid car. Hmmm. Where to find empty factories?

This is pretty funny, but also rather sad. This is analogous to destroying the Amazon rainforest to make ethanol.

see that's what so many people keep forgetting...while the finished product might be kinder to the environment, the manufacturing process of hybrids is anything but...i heard somewhere that manufacturing a prius is more harfmful to the environment then making a Hummer.
