Default Subaru SVX

I remember that this car was very, very expensive in Spain, maybe that's why I have never seen one. The design was really advanced but the car wasn't too fast (0-400m in 15,9 seconds)

The SVX was likely the best designed Subaru that in years time will continue to hold it's own. It has the 3.0 flat 6 as the only engine option, and unfortunately, every SVX made has an automatic transmission. The car is very sideways capable even so! Wild to look at, even if not terribly fast.... but it isn't "that slow" either IMO.... I'd think its 0-400 m time is closer to 15 flat instead of almost 16 seconds... 230 hp in stock trim.

If only Subaru took inspiration about this SVX for the new Impreza :roflmao: .... and why don't they do a new version of this futuristic car ?

Nope, designed by Guigiaro. There is one of these parked right by my work all the time. I've always thought they were pretty cool. They were never that great though, there were a lot of problems with the transmission. They also liked to warp rotors. Cool car though.

Always thought this was a cool looking car, but the fact that it only came in automatic always turned me off.

One interesting thing they built into the design was that you could have the windows down when raining and not get wet.

I saw one today, not a half hour ago. Theres one rolling around here with a full powertrain conversion, and is said to run low 12's/high 11's in the quarter.

I had one and really liked it. The engine sounds great and it is really built well. It does not feel like other Subarus from that era. Unfortunately, the acceleration is not exactly inspiring and it does nothing but understeer. My uncle had one too and was rear ended at a stop light by a drunk driving going 55mph. It nearly killed the drunk driver, but the pas compartment of the SVX remained intact.
