Default EU will ban chinese car

The european parament wants to ban the Chinese JMC Landwind as soon as possible. The car is dangerous, because even at low speeds a collision could be lethal.

"Together with the European committee and automotive organizations I shall see to get a European judicial prohibition on selling this car" said by former rally driver and Euro-MP Ari Vatanen. Vatanen works on reducing the traffic victims by half, the next couple of years. A car like this is unacceptable in his campaign.

A crash test by the german ADAC pointed out a frontal collision at 64 km/h will be lethal. According to the ADAC this was the worst car of the last 20 years.

The car is basically an Opel Frontera, but I think they have did some cost savings on the overall strength of the car, like crash protection beams.

umm dan, if they let new cars continue to be sold not meeting standards, wouldnt that mean that excuse could always be used cause thered always be old cars?

That being said.. Put a sticker warning about its lack of safety on it and sell it.. If the person who buys doesnt care about their safety and is warned about it, thats his problem.

15-yr-old cars meet crash standards 15 yr ago. Chinese cars clearly didn't meet the crash standards today, and that they are not selling their cars some 15 20 years ago, it is clearly logical to ban their cars.
