Sadly no, there are no vid cam rentals here in Lausanne, the closest one is in Geneva, 60 km from here and to rent the camera (not even a DV one) would cost some 200 or more Swiss Francs since I would have to take it Saturday and take it back monday.. plus the time and petrol needed to cover another 120 km.. really not practical...
If I knew about this event soon I could have lured my mother into giving me their Sony DV cam, but my mom lives 400 km from me and the last time I was there was Christmas so I would have needed to know back in 2003
and of course she was not to keep to ship it to me the last times I asked her
And again, strangely enough, all my friends have digi-cameras but not a single one is interested in vids
No luck

Well, to go from Lausanne to Geissingen passing through Reims would take the original 310 km up to 990 km  sady the three towns form a pretty wide triangle but you could come with me and we could meet up in Germany It would be just some 400 km for you

And do you think I don't NEED it? I'm just hoping there won't be to much to film so I won't miss to many opportunities
BTW, I don't really love in car vids especially if I have to savour the experience to play with a camera (not even mine even if I could find one) would maybe just distract me

Anyway I have to live with it I just hope the pics will be cool enough and the small vids that my PRO 1 can take will at least show something interesting

Well I spent some more time on their website and I think finally my rusty German managed to make me understand the exact situation:

Cars available to passenger rides:

- Ferrari Enzo
- Ferrari 575M (could even be a 550 since on the website it's stated simply as "maranello")
- Ferrari 360 Spider
- Ferrari Testarossa
- Ferrari F40 (sadly beeing serviced)
- Lamborghini Diablo
- Lamborghini LM002
- Lamborghini Gallardo

that's all.. and this is the list of the cars that will be there just to be seen and admired:

- Maserati Quattroporte
- Bentley Continental GT
- Ferrari 612 Scaglietti
- Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale
- Ferrari Enzo (another one?!?!?)
- Lamborghini Murcielago
- Ferrari 288 GTO

Their lineup is way bigger than that usually: Ferrari: 348 TS, 348 Spider, 355 GTS, 355 Spider, 355 GTS F1, 360 Modena and Spider, 360 Spider F1 with Challenge look, 360 F1 sport, Challenge Stradale, 456GT, Testarossa sport, 512 TR, 550 Maranello, 575M F1, F40, Enzo. The also have a couple of Maserati: 3200 GT and Spider cambiocorsa, a Viper RT/10, a Lincoln limo, an SL55 AMG and a BMW Z1... maybe just locked away
