The taillights seem too big, too plane, and too luxurious for a car like this.
It doesn't have as much of a sporty stance looking from the back as the previous car had.

interior doesn't seem so bad, however.
meh, i'll with a Mutang shelby Cobra for (near) that money

i really don't "hate" BMW, in fact i'm totally in love with the new Z4 Coupe...i think it's better than the Cayman or the NEW TT.
but this 3-series just looks like another car...it's got no personality...and i seriously do see Civic and Holden Monaro/Pontiac GTO in that design. |
Errr... the regular A4 isn't exactly that different from the Civic/Sentra crowd either.

or saab 95 or BMW 7er  Personally I like the rear on the new Coupe. Stunning!!

I think I just threw up a little. I agreed with everyone else, the rear lights definitely does not match the sporty image of the car. And the front lights looks like some kid drew them on a coloring board.
Otherwise, the dimensions and overall shape looks okay.

I think that it just looks great, although i generally like all bangle designed BMWs when some models came out I needed some time to get used to them. I instantly liked this car's looks and the more i see it in pics the more i like it. When i started seeing the first pics of the car with light camouflage i wasn't totally convinced with the headlights but as i see them now they give the car a meaner look than the saloon variant. The side view is just amazing and as far as the rear is concerned i like it and it doesn't lack imagination which is the case for the four door saloon.
