michigan has not had any law require emmissions testing of automobiles since 95, and even then, was only required in only a handful of counties

big three dominance is quite blissful if one is able to enjoy it... michigan isnt the only state, i think, but im too lazy to search for each individual state
this is why im concidering getting straight pipes on my jeep, just rip off the ol' cat, and listen to a low reving I6... even more raspy... it would just cost me about 150 quid

Wow that's interesting that they don't test but it's still a national law to have cat's on your vehicle and if they catch you without them it could cost you upto $50,000 USD in fines, It seems everything with the Government on vehicles and the environment has a $50,000 fine. You still will need some type of O2 faker. I know a few people here that have easy off cats for the purpose of emissions. I'm certified by the Illinois EPA so they basically tell you all the tricks to pass the test and the fact that if you show them your training card they go a little easy on you, same with my FOP stickers on my cars (I love corruption) the easiest way to always pass emissions is to go to your local airfield and buy the highest grade fuel they have preferably a methanol blend that will burn soo clean you will always pass. I took my car in for the test and failed horribly then went and put in a FULL tank of 110 gasoline/methanol blend from a local airport let it run through the system then took the car back and passed with flying colors. 8)

Yeah, modding corvette's sure ain't cheap. I have Corsa Indy's on mine with stainless works headers. The headers make a big difference in the sound too. that should be your next mod. It's a great compliment for that new exhaust...even if you have to save up for a while...it's well worth it. 8)

I didn't realize how incredibly BADASS this exhaust sounds until I let my friend rev it to redline with me standing behind the car.

hardwired iPod installation

this was pretty easy except for the lack of space to work with down in the passenger footwell

i bought the PAC AUX-BOX and the ABGM10 connector

down in the passenger footwell there are 2 separate unconnected connectors - both of these connectors were cut off along with the connector on the ABGM10 cable

3 wires from the ABGM10 were soldered to the first set of wires and the other 3 wires from the ABGM10 were soldered to the second set of wires

the only thing i dislike is you cannot go to previous tracks using the factory stereo buttons because every time a new track has started playing the track count on the dash resets to 1

I have been thinking of a similar type setup now that I have gone back to the stock non-MP3 friendly stereo CD system.

Just keep an eye on the wire routed on the side of the "transmission-not-located-here" tunnel - it get's quite hot down there.

Overall the setup looks good... what do you have to stop the player from flying abotu when you give it stick?
