I've been playing the demo for the last few days on my brothers computer. Its alot of fun so far. Although, I'm trying to play with just the keyboard.
I should have my new Logitech Driving Force Pro in a few days and will have a much more overall impression of the engine.

Looks like Simbin are upto their old shit again.
What a pity - they didn't learn last time out. The game came and went from US retailers in about a month last time. The only people who bothered to buy it were the people who went and looked for it.
Do they not comprehend the importance of going on sale before Christmas?
OK - you cheap bastard - you always get the Simbin games for free and then promote them around here... which results in me spending $50 to buy the fucking things onlne...
Which I just did... this better work...

Yes it can be purchased online.
I agree, they loose a lot of money by not selling it in the States at the same time, but I guess they just cant do it. It will be Q12006 for the States...dont ask why, they heard all the complaints with GTR about release dates, guess its not that easy
And no Im not a cheap bastard, I also bought a copy from Sweden. And trust me, I dont get paid for any promotion work. I just happen to help out with some things here and there and I know the guys from the days when they where a mod team.
Here is my proof that I also bought a copy

The videos and screens are very impressive. I'm going to ask around if someone I know has the game.

I just picked it up from my local Frys for $29.99
Just installed it, going to have a go after I finish this post.
I might need to buy a new PC for this bloody game though
edit: Love it! It's good fun on beginner, and quite challenging thereafter!
The Cortina must be RWD by the way pretty quick for an old girl too lol

My brother had this game. I recently played it for the last few weeks. This is an awesome game with a fun selection of cars from the 1960s and 1970s. You have Pantera, 275 GTB, Cobra, Corvette, Renault Alpine and many other cars.
In the semi-pro/pro mode the racing is quite realistic. The cars are on the knife edge and need finesse with the throttle to avoid spinning out. Awesome stuff!
Not much modifications options though. Its good in a way that you experience the car as it drove back then. But I am left wondering how the 275 would have performed with more modern slicks. Ah well you can't have everything in life.
The engine sounds seem pretty realistic except for the 275 which is a bit shriller than the real thing.
If you guys can get a hand on this game, go buy it. Its really fun!

I want to try this game, a more hardcore race sim, not the usual forza and GT.

I don't think it is as hardcore (read difficult to master) as GTR or GP Legends. In the amateur mode, the cars are quite easy to drive. With the semi pro mode, it gets more challenging and fun.
Buy it!

It can get a bit hairy in the highest difficulty settings, though. Wheel spins galore.

Try the Pro mode and get back to us about that one - especially when trying to race the Pantera hehe

This is the only comment needed though - and better yet, Buy GTR2 and get GT Legends for free in the box - Fry's and Best Buy still have the double retail pack for sale for $20.00 to $29.00

The ONLY way to go is full on simulation! Everything else feels silly to drive. Same with GTR. The most fun cars to drive are the "easiest" to spin...
