The shift pattern comment wasn't intended like that!

Now I shall bore you with what I meant as punishment

We work a 9/80 shift which basically means 80 hours* in a fortnight, over 9 days; you get every other Friday off!

* usually more though, due to overtime. Which, I should hasten to add, is unpaid overtime

C'est la vie

I hope I have you all guessing about the Porsche though Could it be a 964? Or a 993 perhaps? Maybe a 912? All I shall say is that it's Guards Red, and the engine isn't in front of the cabin!

I don't think you'll have any trouble with that, I am bringing my Honda 2.0 'torquemeister' ops: I'll probably be last in the line of cars all day.

The force be with you, may it be hmmmm 8)

Oh by the way, RC, are there many underpasses or tunnels? I really ought to bring earplugs for you chaps if so...my induction roar is postively ear-bleeding under a low bridge

Have you seen the movie "Driving Miss Daisy"? I was the stand-in for Morgan Freeman in the driving scenes. Apparently I am a past master in driving slowly. TSo the torquemeister will be far ahead of me.

ACtually, I am thining of hooking up my car to RC via a long, strong bungee cord and let those American horses does some real work for a change

Funny you should mention that, today was the first time in 3 years I have been able to hear anything running through the forest... it's the first run I have made without open exhausts...

Maybe I should put the open pipes back on for Saturday... Then you shall truly understand the meaning of "ear-bleeding"...

Hope you upgraded your brakes, cuz if he stops suddenly, you're going to be bungeed right into whatever he was avoiding Hey! That's how you get an Audi to the 5sec. 0-60 mark!

Well - it is a Fun Run - so no need for crazy Nurburgring-style passes and such

Besides - my buddy Case won't be making it - so the 500rwhp 383ci Blue Monster won't be leading the pack..

Yes, I think it's a good idea to to and bear in mind our safety a little bit! Especially as RC has his co-driver present

Sameer, what are the factory figures for the S4 0-60 then? I thought it must be 6 secs or less?

I could probably hit 60 in just under 6, but I have too much sympathy for my clutch to try and do so!

Looks like a couple 350Z's might make the run as well... and maybe a Z16 will show up.

The damn co-driver is always egging the bastard on ... she is a petrol head. I think we need to have Mrs. RC in his car instead .. that will make it easier for us to stay in the same zipcode.

Not to forget RC has done a couple recces already and has made a rolling navigational map for the co-pilot like Denis Jenkinson. "Brake hard when you pass the dead beaver on the road, roll on the throttle when you pass the sunning redneck...:

0-60 in 5.5-6 secs if you dump the clutch at like 5000 rpms or so. Not when I am at the wheel for sure ... I drive very slow and I am not being modest.
