Supposedly the lack of dealerships should start getting better with the expansion of the Lamborghini network.
It's sad to hear the Diablo is still out of commission, but I guess life has its priorities.
Hopefully the day you'll let go of the Diablo, it will be replaced by another Lambo

Shit that sucks, in that way they can especially charge what they like...

Only directly from Lambo in Italy or through the one main dealer in the UK who gets them from Lambo in Italy, either way they can charge you what they like and know full well you will have to pay it as there is no alternative.

That sucks. I didn't have many chances to work on Lambos aside from one Miura and a Gallardo. The Miura was pretty much fully restored by the time I had seen it and of course the Gallardo was easy to get parts for as it was and is basically a new car.
Ferrari parts can be like that too some times. I had a hell of a time finding a clutch housing, or whatever you want to call (the piece that you see sticking down a little from the bumper) for a 355 that had fallen off a tow truck and gotten cracked. It wasn't being offered from the factory at that time and my only resort was to dish out $3,000USD to get one from a wrecked car.
Speaking of 355s, have you ever had a valve job done to your car? If so, do you know what kind of valves they used? The steel valves from the factory are super expensive.

Nope touch wood its always been super reliable, although the cam belt services havent been cheap but perhaps money VERY well spent.

Glad to hear the 355 has treated you well The belt services are definitely money well spent.

Those are some scary numbers for repairs  sob dealers know they can do with the prices whatever they want cause you have no choise, you can't just take welding machine few parts from other cars and put it all togeather (like I'd do it with my e30 ) or go to the Lambo scrapyard and buy a part for a few pounds
I hope you'll change it soon for something newer
