Well, it's about time the FIA did something to MS. He's been getting away with cheating for too long.

And Schumi has the best drive of the race.

And sets the fastest lap.

Pit lane to 5th place :fist:

Schumacher sent to back of grid
Saturday, 27, May, 2006, 23:42

Michael Schumacher has been sent to the back of the grid for Sunday’s Monaco Grand Prix.

The sensational ruling came at 10.45 on Saturday evening following eight hours of deliberations by FIA-appointed stewards, who found Schumacher guilty of deliberately bringing his Ferrari to a stop in the dying minutes of qualifying.

The German’s actions instantly provoked a furore in the paddock, with rival teams and drivers alleging that they were designed to disrupt competitors’ final flying laps and prevent his own pace-setting time from being bettered.

After analysing video evidence, data traces supplied by Ferrari and testimonials from key members of the Italian squad, the stewards agreed that Schumacher’s actions were intentional.

They therefore deleted all of Schumacher’s qualifying times, relegating him to 22nd and last place on the grid.

The decision promotes world championship leader Fernando Alonso to pole position ahead of Williams driver Mark Webber.

With Giancarlo Fisichella having already been penalised for impeding David Coulthard's progress during qualifying, the second row will now be filled by McLaren duo Kimi Raikkonen and Juan Pablo Montoya.

The stewards issued the following statement explaining their verdict:

“Having set a fast time in sector one, the driver lost time in sector two, arrived at turn 18 [Rascasse] at a speed little if any different from his previous fastest lap, and braked with such force that his front wheels locked up, requiring the driver to regain control of the car.

“The driver ultimately did so without hitting the barrier on the outside of turn 18.

“The engine of the car subsequently stalled, with the result that the car partially blocked the track.

“Having compared all relevant data, the stewards can find no justifiable reason for the driver to have braked with such undue, excessive and unusual pressure at this part of the circuit, and are therefore left with no alternative but to conclude that the driver deliberately stopped his car on the circuit in the last few minutes of qualifying, at a time at which he had thus far set the fastest lap time.

“The stewards accordingly directed that the qualifying times of Michael Schumacher be deleted.

“The effect of this is that he will start from the back of the grid.”

The stewards said Schumacher’s actions breached Article 112 of F1’s sporting regulations and that therefore their ruling was final and would not be subject to appeal.

"Article 112 enables the stewards to delete any number of a driver's qualifying times for a driving infringement, which decision is not susceptible to appeal," they said.

Schumacher will share the final row of the grid with Ferrari team-mate Felipe Massa, who crashed out of the first knockout qualifying session.

what-fucking-ever

Did you read the bloody report?

"no reason to brake so hard", "he was down .2 sec".......

Who the fuck are they to say how hard to brake, or whats the proper amount of brake pressure at a given turn? This is bloody rediculous

Bottom bloody line is that he locked up, and tried to get out of the corner and his engine stalled.

bottom line. Period.

This report they wrote up is simply stupid.

Ferrari should have just withdrew from the race, but no. Schu started from pit, got the fastest lap and finished 5th....to prove all the babies that he is still the best thing the F1 scene will ever see.

All the nuthugging Alonso fans and Schu haters have not come up with jack shit of an explenatition defending their point.

I gave an explenation of what happend in that clip.

All the rest did was say "he parked the car"

you know what whatever, cant be bothered to waist my time here more

Ill go to the adult video section...more fun there.

They should "know"

Because logic tells he "locked up, and stalled the engine" (driving error)

Feel says "he purposely locked up, flat spotted his tires, risked hitting the armco, risked getting a penalty, so he can fuck up the qual for others...and and he purposely took the key out of the ignition and put on the aircon stalling the engine".

^^^^ Exactly the same for me would have loved to see both maccas on the podium which would have brought us right behind ferrari in the constructors. 3 points behind in fact, but hey at leaset monsta montoya salvaged something for us. Dissapointed with schumi he threw a victory for pole because he certainly had the pace.
Alonso, did it again. 64 out of 70 so far, if he stays this consistant finishing second to michael all the time then he will still be 1 point ahead of schumi in the final race.

99% keyboard warriors who never drove anything but their civic down the highway. 99% who actually never saw this clip.

Besides 80% of the general population is retarted.

Watch the vid and analyze.

If you want it that hard Ill record a demo at Monaco at the same corner in an F1 sim demostrating the same problem.
So jaques villeneuve, jacie stewart, keke rosberg have only driven hondas?

I can't recall SFD having ANY race credibility himself, so his opinion is as worthy as all the opinions of "those keyboard racers" he whines about. Indeed, another worthless opinion of a fanboy.

Sending Schumacher back to the grid was a too heavy penalty IMO, but it's obvious he did that deliberately...A shame really, as he doesn't have to with his talent and pace.

Too bad this was the outcome, the championship could use some more thrill.

Pit start to 5th place in Monaco is impressive, with the fastest lap... this proves how Schumacher is the best out there...

Look at it and ask again. No fucking way an experienced driver like Schumacher would make such a mistake, coincidently at such crucial point in qualification.

Anyway, please drop the conspiracy theories about how everybody tries to keep Ferrari from winning again. It would be of commercial interest to get them the championship. Ferrari = $$$, their name is solid gold for F1.
