- Carrera GT road show -
PAG germany organizes a roadshow with the Carrera GT at 16 german Porsche centers. it´ll be transported in a vitreous trailer pulled by a Cayenne V6 from center to center crosswise Germany, and public can take a exclusive look at the 452k€ supercar...
so if any of you guys want to see a CGT for real and you´re nearby, check in at the following locations:
14.02. Wiesbaden
21.02. Nürnberg
26.02. Altötting
28.02. Olympiapark
05.03. Allgäu
06.03. Frankfurt
11.03. Köln
12.03. Dortmund
13.03. Darmstadt
20.03. Hamburg
21.03. Lübeck
26.03. Bamberg
27.03. Berlin
28.03. Berlin Süd
03.04. München
 http://www2.porsche.de/german/deu/carreragt/roadshow/ ...sorry, german only...
but if there are any questions, don´t hesitate to ask, it´s definitely a unique chance to be so clos to the CGT...
i´ll probably attend one of these events, maybe the one in munich and promise to take as much pictures as possible...

so, as you already noticed i´m back home from finland, as i already told you, the first three days were like hell we´ve been used to 10 to 15°C plus here in germany/austria and in finland it´s fucking 40 to 50°C colder....shocking :x
and then the snow, it´s simply everywhere, i mean i´m from austria and we do have lot´s of snow, but enough is enough and up there it´s really enough...
so we tested a lot with two teams, unfortunately (?!) i haven´t been involved in the 997 testing, but i´ve to admitt i´m not that familiar with the 997 like with the 995 modell, so i´ve been the chief engineer for driveline stuff wich has been my main field over the years...
on the first few days we just drove around day and night in three shifts for stress testing the whole car and especially the new components because the 955 base modell has already been tested here in finland some years ago, but we mainly tested our new components ( which are secret ) and we´re very satisfied after that week, we got lot´s of data and now we´ll have to analyse all this...
luckily we found some minor and one major problems during testing but we were able to sort nearly all of them out, it´s nothing special, just some reliability stuff, as you know, Porsche is famous for their very reliable factory performance upgrades, not like nearly all the other tuners because you´ll get into serious trouble if something brakes down on your e.g. Gemballa engine, believe me i know what i´m talking about related on that issue
so, we did literally all tests during that week that you can imagine, it´s been very very hard for the whole test crew, we were only able to sleep just some hours every day, i really missed my wife, i think i haven´t seen her for over two weeks now and now i´m extremely happy to see her again that weekend
all in all it´s been an extremely exciting, interesting and cool week in finland, unfortunately i´m not allowed to tell you all the details, but there´d be so much more to tell...

The results of AS test are impressive. Everytime I think the engine behind the rear wheels is wrong, you come with something that makes change my mind about it!
It's mad!! Just 1 sec slower than the GT2!At Döttinger Höhe is slower only 4kmh slower than the GT2 and way over faster than the standard GT3 and the Stradale...I mean...what car is it???it's so faast!

as i told you before, IMO the GT3RS is the second best 911 right after the GT2, unfortunately i can´t describe it, sure there´s that little report here in "Porsche news", but you´ve to drive and feel a car like the GT3 RS... in the right hands it´s nearly unbeatable
i simply love it, it expresses all what Porsche stands for...

In another forum there's a guy that owns it, I've seen a video of him in Monza and...it's so racy,so stripped down,so pure. Another JW member told me how funny are Porsche with the rear engine, you can go sideway very easily, and there's a lot of traction. He his amazed by the GT2 and my feeling towards GT2 and GT3 are growing.
I rear your reports about GT2 and GT3Rs...now I want some money

, i think we can´t get so far, so definitely NO, we can´t compare sports cars like the RS or GT2 with true supercars like the CGT, the CGT ranges way higher than any 911 modell...
i´ll keep it like that, the Carrera GT is the Porsche, hands-down...
