Ugly car. Peugeot is capable of much more than this. Search for their "elixir "concept and you'll see what I mean.

They should have used that chap who won their 2003 design competition, the one who did the Peugeot "Leon" concept.

PEUGEOT AT THE 2004 PARIS MOTOR SHOW

* New 1007 makes its public premier
* Three fantastic concepts on show including a 500 bhp, V12 supercar

No fewer than 52 vehicles and three concept cars will grace Peugeot’s stand at the 2004 Paris Motor Show. Peugeot is delighted to be exhibiting some outstanding new vehicles – including the revolutionary new 1007 and three very exciting concept vehicles.

Show Highlights and Concepts

1007: easy to live with

Derived from detailed analysis of customer demands and expectations, the design of the 1007 is intrinsically bold, with priority given to user-friendliness. Incorporating innovation wherever it has a positive contribution to make, 1007 features electric ‘Open-Sesame’ sliding doors, Caméléo interchangeable interiors and the 2-Tronic gearbox. All these features are specifically engineered to help to make the car exceptionally user-friendly. For this, its world première, the 1007 is generously represented by no fewer than 16 models, eight of which are fully accessible to the public.

Concept cars

Concept cars provide an opportunity for stylists to explore new avenues with the aim of doing one thing: exciting the imagination. The concept cars presented this year in Paris are no exception to the rule and testify to the fertile creativity of the Marque’s design centre.

The 907: A powerful GT super car

The 907 is Peugeot’s view of how the ultimate GT car should look. Powered by a 6.0 litre V12 engine, developing power of around 500 bhp, it also features a sequentially controlled 6-speed manual gearbox. The carbon fibre body boasts an interior that is functional yet oozes genuine class: leather and Alcantara for the passenger compartment, wood for the steering wheel and gear lever. With the 907, Peugeot’s stylists have created a traditional yet modern interpretation of the ultimate Grand Touring super car.

Quark: Fun meets cutting edge technology

Focused on alternative fuel innovation, the Quark extends the fuel cell technologies already demonstrated on the Taxi PAC and H2O concepts. With its distinguished hi-tech and off-road style, the Quark looks like the work of science fiction. It is powered by four electric engines, one in each wheel. Thanks to the optimal configuration and design of all the components, the Quark demonstrates the level of performance offered today by fuel cell technology, with a range extended to 80 miles and all in a compact unit with a length of 2.38 m and a width of 1.5 m.

1007 RC: Easy performance

This study in style accompanies the launch of the 1007 and demonstrates its ability to alter its identity, in particular by accentuating the model’s distinctive sporting character. This 140 bhp, 1007 concept, sits on purposeful 18" alloy wheels and is exhibited in an Onyx Black finish, with a black leather and Alcantara interior.

3rd Peugeot Design Competition

Since design is one of Peugeot’s fundamental values, it seemed natural for the Marque to organise a design competition. This internet based competition is an innovative idea pioneered by Peugeot and is now enjoying its third incarnation. For this third competition, Peugeot is proposing a theme that seeks to explore the tastes and orientations of designers whose vision is focused on a more immediate, accessible and concrete future. Design your own Peugeot, the car of your dreams for the immediate future is the theme proposed to designers the world over, who have until 8 December 2004 to submit their projects. The winning design will be announced at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show and will be produced in a full-scale version and exhibited at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show. The winning designer, meanwhile, will receive a cheque for 6,000 euros.

407 and 407 SW: Stylish and versatile

On sale since May this year, the 407 has set a new standard by which family saloons are judged. Following hot on its heels, the newly launched SW maintains the same degree of engineering excellence but offers greater levels of practicality and versatility. Clothed in a body that sets a new style standard within the class, the 407 SW is set to become a star player in the family estate car market. This important new model is well represented by the 12 models on show, consisting of an equal number of saloon and SW versions.

607: New features for the Peugeot flagship

Known for its elegance, comfort, and outstanding value, the 607 will now appeal even more thanks to some key changes. The car has undergone a number of engineering and styling changes and now features a new state of the art diesel engine (although not in the UK market): a V6 HDi with Particle Emission Filter (FAP) and a capacity of 2.7 litres, developing power of 204 bhp. This engine is the third to be produced from the co-operation between PSA Peugeot Citroën and Ford Motor Company. Two of the four 607s presented to the public will be equipped with this high-performance diesel engine.

Fix the front end and it'll be a grand car. The "smile" reminds of an anime character's face. Good on cartoons not so on cars.

Really, that silly smile reminds to those pokemon's characters, but I don't think is ugly at all.
