I've wanted a DB9 ever since it came out. Is that being my own self?

Hi Mattk, Sure is and I don't blame you! From what I've read and seen, the DB9 is supposed to be an excellent car. BTW, did you know that Ford supposedly has or is going to put Aston Martin up for sale? Magwheel

Yeah, I heard/read about that. I don't think they'll do it. I'd be pretty disappointed if they did.

hey Michael, I'm a noob here to jabbasworld, but i just finished reading this entire thread. i have to say, QUITE impressive! if you're every down in the parkersburg, WV or marietta, OH area, be sure to look me up. by the same token, if i'm up around Youngstown and i see an exotic, i'll be sure to honk and wave. you are living the dream of many, many people, and i hope one day to have even one of the cars you('ve) own(ed). keep doing what you're doing!

OH Damn!........
NEWS FLASH!! :faint: I just sold both of my Lamborghinis on Friday. Too many cars! The Gallardo was 1 year old this month and I only had 970 miles on her. I bought the Murcielago in February of this year and she only had 450 miles on her speedo. Yeah... yeah.... I know! :wanker:
BUT.... just this past Tuesday, I did buy a 2007 SL550 in Pewter with a light cream interior. Ironically, I had just gone to the dealer to see the SLR they have had there since February, the one I took for a test ride, and they said that they had just dealer traded it to a San Diego dealership. :wall: Bummed out..... but then I saw the SL550 sitting there and fell in love with her immediately! Went home and got the girlfriend and we went back and I signed the papers and brought her home that same day. I'm sure I'll put a lot more miles on her compared to the Lambos. I loved the Lambos too but to let them just 'kinda' sit in the garage on Battery Tenders and hardly drive them is asinine, ridiculous, absurd and brainless!.
Since I had a little 'moolah' left over from the sale..... I also bought a 2007 Mercedes S550 in Iridium Silver with black leather interior and the AMG Sport Package. She'll be here on Tuesday or Wednesday of this coming week. It will be nice to have a couple of cars I can take out every day of the year and not worry about rain or snow or being paranoid about parking them somewhere where they might be vulerable to door bangers or jealous idiots!
Sorry about the Lambos guys but it was necessary and the right thing to do. :bad-words: Please don't hate my ass for selling them! Mags

Boy saadie, You sure know how to bust an 'old' mans ass! :prr: At least I can get in the SL550 without doing an Harry Houdini imitation!
It will be fun to drive the new Mercedes. They really are 'the cat's ass' of luxury cars!
Hopefully I'll get a chance tomorrow to shoot a pic of the three Porsches in a line-up and maybe even the SL. It's beautiful out here in Ohio with the leaves changing. :hello: I'll try my best. Mags

Well, must have been sad to see two bulls go at the same time, but if you can't enjoy them, as you said, it's pointless to keep them
And adding two comfy Merc to the collection can't be that bad.
Of course I would have been more thrilled by AMG versions, but the 550 must already be a hell of a ride
Can't wait to see some pics

While in Europe it will still be called SL500, it will be rebadged SL550 in the USA, and well it's basically the new SL500, not the AMG one

Erez, my fellow MOT, Yeah... it was a bummer to see the Lambos go :faint: but so far the SL550 is really an enjoyment to drive. It''s so nice to have a car I can take out all the time... even if it might rain that day without freaking out over it. The S550 should be here Tuesday or Wednesday and it will be a riot driving that machine with all its gadgets. It has the Night View Assist which allows you to see 500 feet up the road at night via infrared , Distronic Plus Cruise Control which keeps you a certain distance behind the car ahead of you and it also has the AMG Sport Package which is the wheels and tires and some lower spoilers plus some other goodies!
I was going to take pictures of the 3 Porsches together today but the sun is so low, I'm getting too many shadows to provide a good picture. I'll figure something out and hopefully get the pictures online soon. Magwheel :hello:
