Im pretty sure the topic is "favorite hyper cars," there are other posts that you can list your favorite cars. M3CSL does not go 200mph, therefore not a hyper car.

sorry but i will have to ask...the thing that makes a cars special-hyper is if it can do 200mph?tell me that it doesn't have the tech that will make the csl hyper car but not this....also the murcielago doesn't do 200 mph but 198mph....and with that?the murcielago is not a hyper car???????by the way the m3 does 150mph because it is electonicaly controlled...maybe i am wrong and as tiff says at 5thgear the world hyper car is been abused but for me csl is a hyper car..

I agree that 200mph might not be a realistic hypercar cutoff. That means cars like the F50 and Zonda(yep 194 or 196) don't actually make it.
However some might say those are just supercars. Perhaps something like a Mclaren F1, Koenigsegg(apparently quicker now) or Enzo is now required to be a bona fide hypercar.
Even so I don't think the CSL really fits in. I think there is perhaps you have to look at the context of time. I mean the F50 was a super supercar when it was released, but midlevel super sportscars are now pretty much can match it even now in most categories.
A car like the Diablo at some points was THE supercar and it gets trounced quite convincingly, but midrange and even GT cars that exist now. So the CSL might be as fast as some supercars it really doesn't cut it in the most recent hypercar surge.

i agree with everything you sayhobopie and i can accept the fact that you don't agree with my choise of the csl..in fact the csl it doesn't have the look or the high tech of a proper supercar but it can be driven like one...the pleasure that gives maybe what one from a supercar wants..idon't know because i haven't drivven a csl but i think that maybe it is like that.and a question?if the porsche gt2 is a hyper car or the gt3 why the csl shouldn't be?

Maybe "hypercars" are more oriented to sports cars with 2 real seats (don't count 911s rear seats and similar ones). No Sedans.
