WHat makes it look like shit?
that it looks the same like a 40 year old car... which is a really cool one, but they couldnt make it better, same thing that the mustang, they had to take old designs to make it look cool, i just saw one and the interior is cheap, all full of plastic, though thats normal for an american car

hey if i went to a Ford Dealeship and saw a Ford GT i would be really excited, but if i went to a car show where there was like Ferraris and Lambos etc then i wouldnt cae so much about the Ford, but if its on its own hell ya its sweet

and SilviaEvo your not a weird person for taking a Challenge Stradale over a Ford Gt lol im sure most people would. But a Ford Gt is still sweet man, you know when we read about cars in Magazines and talk about them on here we say one thing but when we see the car in person being driven and stuff like that its tottally different. Well for me it is. I just love cars, so if I say I hate a Mac F1 for example it doesnt mean i wouldnt give a shit if i saw one driving by me, id still be like look holy fuck that cars wicked.

Are you for real...i can't belive u compared this v8 powered 100 odd grand car with a pure breed V12 Ferarri which costs 3-4 times as much!...come on man... ...they are two totally differnt cars, both built to be fast sure, but one is the ultimate, and you can't compare a 360 competiotor to a top of tree supercar...

...i personaly think the Enzo is the pinnacle. Its perfect...Great sighting btw...

you are dumb for not doing your research. The Ford GT made a .2 of a sec in a 1/4 against a Enzo. It has a bigger powerbad, more heritage, 4xs less in cost, more rrom for improvement to the engine. and the beauty yes I have seen a Ford GT in real life but I nearly pissed my pants knowing that I was standing next to the fastest production car in the state of VA infront of me. The looks were stunning but they put it in a cramped little space. kind of sucked and the worst staff of any ford dealership which is very rare.

here are some pics I took:

also the Ford GT finally had a dyno 565 bhp and they said it had more potential.

Looking at the invoice on Page 1:

$4000 for McIntosh system
$5000 for the stripes - seemed to be inspired by the pricing on the 360CS

I notice that they don't mention the power or torque figures - is it because of the Mustang cobra incident some years back where they quoted something and it was verified that the power was about 20 bhp less and was a SNAFU.

Not that I am doubting the GT's power - I want to know if they are explicitly stating that is 550bhp or 500 bhp...

hehe, yes pricing takes ques from some options from the 360 but have you heard a McIntosh sound system? its obsene! its a perfect sound declaration if the car is off

official ford press documents say 550hp, which is nearly an accurate term when the car has near 0 miles on it. after a few thousand miles, and an oil change or 2 later, the car is damn near 600 hp @ the crank... perhaps over ive heard this is one car Ford is under-rating... not to mention, thier dynos are only accurate to 600 hp

The world would be a very dull place if we all agreed all the time. Personally i think it looks absolutely fabulous. The only negative things for me with this car are:

- the price
- only left hand drive
- only TWENTY EIGHT cars for uk... grrrr.

Holy fucking Ford GT!! Ok...so nthfinity posted a picture of the Wixom assembly plant where the GT's final bits and pieces come together...I didn't expect that they'd let me take any pictures or anything either at Wixom, or at Saleen where partial assembly occurs, but....not only did I get to take pictures, I got some video of one of the cars on a chassis dyno undergoing some final checks before delivery to a customer. I still think it's a bit too muffled, but damn it sounded good. In the Wixom plant there were something like 60-70 cars all waiting for delivery to customers. I've got pictures and am currently uploading them to an Imagestation album, I'll post the link when I'm done

Actually he's right, of the first year's production run, only 28 cars are destined for the UK. As for the quarter mile times you're quoting, I have some serious doubt about them. The fastest time I've seen for a GT was 11.7, which is still quite a bit slower than the Enzo, i.e. about 6-tenths of a second slower, and 4 tenths slower than the CGT. Even if you fit the GT with drag slicks I seriously doubt it would crack 10.5 seconds. The likelihood of breaking under 10 seconds is practically nil. A ten second car is almost never a street legal one, and even the F1 and Enzo can't break that barrier, so the GT at 1/6 of the price and on the order of 50-100bhp less would have almost zero chance of doing so.

The Ford will do 0-100mph in 8.8 seconds
The Jaguar XJ220 does the same increment in 7.9
The Mclaren F1 does it in 6.3
and the Enzo does it in 6.6...if the Ford is nearly 2 seconds behind the Enzo and Macca at that point, how in the fuck could it possibly do the quarter in less time?
