Exactly my thought and choice, except you forgot South-Korea that also has a Dutch coach, Dick Advocaat and won with 2-1

For sure, you forgot Serbia, Croatia had great chances in the beginning of the 2nd half but then they just looked tired by the end, babic had good opportunities. Tommorow will be a good day, hopefully poland loses to!!
|
haha yes
I'm cool with Poland politicaly but as far as football goes I cant stand em.
I dunno why.....they just seem to spoil all the parties
Should be a good day.

Croatia was almost worthy a goal there, they had some really good chanches!
Brazil did play okay, but was expecting more.. a lot of passes that didn't go through, mess ups in def. zone and stuff like that..
1-0, Brazil was really happy with that result.
Very few goals between the "top teams"...

Poland lost 1:0 to Germany, but not without a proper fight. Poland used a lot of strength in the first half so they were exhasuted in the second, but even so Jelen could easily outrun Odonkor, a player known for being the fastest in the Bundesliga. Too bad, the goal was scored in the 92nd minute

I have to say after seeing Ukraine loose that bad today I was rooting for Poland.
That second yellow/red was bullshit call though.
Brining me to this point.
THE REFFING IN THIS TOURNAMENT IS CRAP!
WTF have they turned football into?
It's like watching some sissy Americans in an NBA game, they scream foul on anything.
Way to many yellow card this tournament, way too many bullshit calls.
THe refs really piss me off. I havent seen one game yet where the reffing was fair.
Bullshit calls all around.

^^^ I agree, the refereeing is poor all round in this edition. There have been a few very controversial decisions which made huge impacts on the results of the matches. I hope the electronic decision taking system will be enforced very soon, bad refereeing takes the fun out of the sport

the refereeing is decent nothin too controversial maybe a harsh decision here and there nothin major though
and that "electronic decision taking system" has no place in football it will take some of the character out of the game!
some of the games' most rememberable moments are such because of an error some referee made for example the maradona "hand of god" incident it's part of the game - life ain't always fair why should football be?
and a quick word about the spain - ukraine game:
The Spaniards are overrated 3 of their goals were from set peaces (a deflected free kick and an unjustified penalty)
Ukraine played with 10 players most of the 2nd half
still Spain's 4th goal was class play but they suck and they will disappoint as they usually do… fuck them!!

well, back here after a business trip.
I gotta say that brazil dissapointed a little. Croatia isn't an easy adversary, but everyone expected more from the scratch du oro. Of course it was the first game.
and... what a game with spain-ukraine. I thought that spain would have a difficult game, but even "niño" torres goal was excellent as a team play . Now to wait for a good tournament for my very far relatives (some part of my mom's family is from the basque country)
germany-poland, was a good game and I believed it was gonna end 0-0. Poland is the first team that fails in the world cup, they had an excellent qualifying tournament.
Ukraine is getting close to that

I dont believe so.
This game is no indicator of what Ukraine is capable of mate.
This has been by far the worst international performance ukraine ever had.
And we played the spanish twice before. 2:2 and 2:1 for Spain.
The team just didnt play.
THey didnt make mistakes, they simply did not do anything....
they went out with half assed effort.

hope you're correct. It would be very sad to see your country leave without showing their real abilities.
it looked like the team was split in half, besides Shevchenko didn't appeared
