[quote="novass
Im always changing my mind about where I eventually want the car to end up. As it looks right now, im just saying screw all forms of convention and turning it into a straight drag car (with the possibility of the occasional sunday cruise). Of course its gonna take some cash and a whole lot of time before that happens. I thought about making the Nova a pro touring type track car but I have changed my mind and now I want to turn a Datsun 510 (with SR20DET ) into my track special.

My ultimate goal is to have a car for every occasion. Street rod, sports car, track car, strip car, daily driver, and a Ferrari.[/quote]

Gonna tub it?

you better believe it! as soon as I can afford to do it I wanna get a Fab9 rear end from that same place and put a 4 link suspension in the back. I want to stick some huge tires back there, at least 15in wide . I need to get my lazy ass a job first and finish school, so its gonna take me a cool minute before that happens.

I'll give you some americans, but definitly not all. I can think of several people who haven't set foot on a drag strip in years. Hell I've only been to the drag strip about 3 x. And these are the people that do road racing. The general population considers a car a device to get from point a to b.

The nascar disease is the only thing that scares me.

I used to just run in the 1/4, but now that my car requires a rollcage to be legal at the strip with the speeds that I run, I've begun to race at the local road track and in other auto cross events. I've had to upgrade my suspension/ brakes/ rotors etc.. but's it's fun as hell and once you get good at it and get to know your car's abilities, it's a great rush! Not all americans are only into the strip,.
