This has been on the news all week here in Oz...but what wasn't written in that article is that the kid driving had twice lost his license already and on this occasion he was doing between 150-200kmh in a 50 zone, so he was bound to get hurt sooner or later.
Its still a tradegy because no one deserves to die, but you would just assume that people would learn from previous mistakes which this guy obviously didn't.

Anyone whose first reaction upon reading this news is "shame about the car" is indeed a fucking dumbass. As is the fuckwad in this thread who calls the dead girl a hoe. If you have nothing respectful to say, stfu.

Hhhmm.. respectful or STFU? If only every other death was allowed this mush respect.
The loss of life is an obvious tragedy.
You are trying to be so politically correct it is actually nausiating.
There is NOTHING wrong with expressing dismay at the loss of a nice car in a wreck.
The expression of disbelief at the tragic loss of the people has been repeated a thousand times already.
Anyone who says "shame about the car" is simply stating the obvious - much like the "sorry about the deaths" responses.

Yes, being politically correct is what i aim for on the internet
Telling someone who called a young dead girl he doesnt know a "hoe" to stfu isnt trying to be PC, it's being decent.

And a 7 month pregnant 15 year old with a 30 year old boyfriend driving in a friends dad's car while the driver was going nuts is not the wisest thing now is it.
She was 7 months pregnant... You shouldn't exactly be rolling around the back seat of ANY car at 7 months. This was HER stupidity... endagering her unborn (and the boyfriend for exposing her to the risk)
It was a tragedy - but the participants are not blameless.
Let's get some perspective here.
And again, between then and now 50,000 thousand or more other tragedies have played out around the world - let's noit forget about those folks.. (and their cars.. )

I'm not arguing about where the blame should lie. The driver killed them, and the passengers were guilty of bad judgement (especially the 30 year old man). But so what if the girl made a mistake? She was just 15 for crying out loud and what 15 year old has perfect judgement? A little sensitivity may be in order.
Im well aware that accidents happen every other second. I'm not arguing for these people to be made a special case, just asking for a little respect. Calling a dead girl a 'hoe' is of extremely bad taste, i dont know how you can argue that.

Nobody is arguing anything here - but rather stating some cold facts So let's not try sensationalize this discussion..
Insensitive or not - this "misjudgment" cost people their lives.
The girl never gets to make another mistake again - she never gets to have her baby and watch him grow up.
Perhaps this is why in the modern age, 15 year old girls should not be having babies - young girls, while as fertile as they always were, no longer possess the maternal instincts of the the 19th Century - *shrug*
The driver was repeating behaviour for which he had been repeatedly reprimanded.
As has been said a million times - a wasteful tragedy - that has also sadly exposed a rather sordid tale about a teenage unwed mother with a much older boyfriend.
This almost sounds like the plot to a "Movie of the Week" played out in an impoverished blue collar community.

I was never debating the responsibility issue, i just disapproved of a comment. Sensationalising?
As you say, it's a waste of life and something all enthusiasts should think about as im sure we all occasionally do silly things on the road. A mod at another forum i moderate died in an accident a while ago. You may not survive your first big crash so try not to have it at all...
