Well remember those scores were mostly from a year ago...so I would say that anything over 3 mins isnt really cutting it these days.

An athlon 4000+ is definetly cutting edge ... all top 8 in our list are extremely overclocked pc .

If you're talking superpi scores then my very old p4 northwood beats that..and thats been retired with the other dinosaurs for the last 12 months.

Yup we know that , i was trying to make the point that for a NON OCED PC the Athlon 4000+ is a beast ... but you can tweak it to reach 3000 or 3200 mhz then it should be in the top 3 .

Hardly I am 7th, I wouldn't even have a clue how to overclock my laptop (3700+) and didn't bother shutting down other processes, might have another go sometimes but no way i would move much I bet. Maybe if I get some mad scientist cooling device like jabba or test mine outside in the freezing cold!

Running tighter mem timmings affects superpi greatly for some reason. I ran it again at a lower fsb/htt, but much tighter timmings and a higher multi and I got like 8 seconds less. But I'm too lazy to post it because I'll just beat it again when I get around to running pi again at my new settings.
