Porsche seems to be the only supporter of buying more of VAG, but I haven't found others that support it. I'm curious as to who does though.

My understanding is that Piech hand picked Wiedeking, although I've also heard that they are experiencing some disagreements now. In addition, there used to be a rule preventing anyone except the Bundesland of Lower Saxony to hold more than 10% (something like that - I don't have the regulation in front of me) of VW. The EU had some major issues with that, and it was obviously quashed - thus Porsche's current ownership of 31%. Either way, Prosche clearly has a vested interest in this going forward as it is the simplest way for them to achieve the upcoming EU-wide CO2 emissions targets (i.e. their (100k polluters + 6.2 mil. relatively frugal)/year. Now does it make sense?
