I dont think so, the first numbers are the American McLaren F1, which as noted by car and driver in their most recient issue is significantly slower than the euro version, which looks like the bottom numbers

I don´t remember. The numbers i took it were from 1998 December issue of Road and Track.

I think you all forget the most important element in the equasion: the human factor.
Skills and talent of the driver are the limiting factors.
Put me in a car with a superior power to weight ratio and ditto roadholding capabilities and let me race on a circuit against any F1 driver (even Jos Verstappen ) in a car with inferior specs in those area's. The endresult of the race will be the same: the F1 driver will win 999 times out of 1000.

right, i agree with you, but now i´m just talking about cars performance, and not driver skills. Car performance is a thing that depends also of the drivers performance, but i just talked about the specs of the car, to have a good performance, off course, with a good driver.

And Jos Verstapen is a good driver also. Even in Minardi, this doesn´t mean he is not a good driver. Try to see the drivers for their driving, and not for their teams.
He doesn´t have a good car to prove his driving skills, but i believe he is very good. Not like Schumy or Senna(off course), but he is good, near Button, Sato, Felipe Massa.

I guess probably the best way to increase speed is improving your own driving skills. No doubt Ferraris run fast, but not everyone has the money to own one. With what I have, driving skills matter most.
