I think this car is just a stupid marketing exercise. it had a major change done in the last moment, it's way compromised (a luxury hypercar), so how could it be good???

and I don't believe it'll have a 1.3G cornering capability - how could it?? it weighs 2 tons!!!! :shock:

Why does everybody dislike the Veyron. It's not unusual for carmakers that develops new high end engines have trouble with it. The thing is they have to solve it before the car is going out of the factory to their new owners.

They have postponed the car for a year and I hope the car is going to be great.

Very similar to the reason people don't like software that never sees the light of day. Don't promise something you can't deliver.

The veyron will see the light at the end of the tunnel. You can't have that PR and marketing campaigns to come with: sorry, but the car won't be built because we couldn't find proper tyres for 400km/hr, and the engine is 900 hp.

manufactures take at least 5 years to build, test, etc. a car (even when MG has its new... shitty car that is very expensive and can't have a proper car without noises and flaws),
Give the veyron 2 more years and it will be, if not unmber one car, one of the best.

And the engine and its layout can't be that simple as the cadillac 16 (that car seems to be a kid's proyect: lets make a inline 20 cylinders, with 10 speeds, and 5 exhaust pipes)

The only thing that's postponed is that by now the press already could of
tested it. The factory wasn't even ready by now. The factory is finished now. Everything that you've read in articles, that wasn't confirmed by Bugatti or Volkswagen.

the question is not if it will be a actual car, the question is will it be a great car or disappointment! I'm a fan but I don't want it to weigh 1.9 ton that's to way much.

They have been listing it as an actual car for over a year. That is where my problem with it comes into play.

Come on, you can't have a problem with that they had some issue with the car so they postponed the debue. That happens a lot look at the SLR.

I don't have issues with it till the time frame gets out of hand. I have listened to the hype in regards to the veryon for a long time. Not to mention such delays are most often followed by utter failures. (Not minimal delays such as the slr)

Thanks for the Info. That tire rumor is such a piece of crap! F1 cars have special tires - many supercars ( Porsche, Pagani, etc.) have tires specifically made for them.
