Fantastic showing by Radical, they've really been cutting their lap times down. Didn't the SR3 do it in like 7:15 or something? Sure they tip-toe the edge of road legal, but that's fine by me, i think it looks and sounds great. Not that you wouldn't feel like an ass driving that around town, though, even with a helmet disguising you.

The differences between a road legal and track only version is quite large, most noticeably the road legal version doesn't run on slick tyres, has higher ground clearance and less downforce.

I've been lucky enough to have passenger rides in a Supercharged SR3 and it was simply awesome.

The Radical is a single purpose track day car - and really does not do the term street car justice.

A Lotus 7 based car at least is based on a once popular actual street car - Group C/Prototype/CanAm like cars are no more "street cars" than a double-decker bus is a large station wagon.

unless your name happens to be Dauer then the 'road' car compromise was in the 962's ground effect, suspension, interior compfort, and rear wing d/f... and since the race car that was based off a road car that is based off a race car was ultimately a worse performing race car... but still a winner
