Is Photoshop CS2 worth it?

Right now I'm running the normal Photoshop CS and I don't see any reason to update to CS2 just yet.

Only problems I found with it that he happens to hang a lot when you use tools, especially type tools. I still dont know if it's the beta version problem or software problem generally ...but I tested it on a few pretty fast machines and the situation was the same on my friends computers.

I would just recommend hanging on to CS until a patch for CS2 comes out.

lol....I think we've all been car fans at a young age. I use to always dream about lambo's and ferraris and my dad would always tell me to dream on. lol

How can you convert me if I am already converted? If it has wheels I love it. With the exceptions of ricers.

So true. Sorry to go off topic guys. Anyways the demo version of CS2 is probably loaded with the full features of the real one except for that time limit so if you you have a fast connection I suggest you download it and try it out the legal way.

LOL I did, one question, you tried CS or CS2? I couldnt quite understand which you were referring to when you said "it" hanged. I have CS installed and it never hangs... CS2 I have, but I have not installed.

Actually, the CS2 is the whole Creative Suit 2 package (7 CDs) That comes with Acrobat and all those other ones.... plus a training vid...

I havent had a chance to install that as I will format my PC and try it out, ill give my review of CS2 once I install it =D

Sorry Demon, I was talking about CS2.

I found that it hangs a bit long while I'm using tools and what not. Sort of irritating if you ask me. Wow the creative suite is US$1,199.00 for the premium series. That's a lot, but then again considering what's involved and included I could consider and see it as a bargain.

Anyways, let me know what you think of CS2. I think you could agree the CS is just as fine and we could all just wait until the CS2 patch comes out and then we can start using it without any problems.

Yes I agree CS is great as is. Extra functions added to CS2 wont be used by the normal audience (me included). Only people in digital image and stuff will be using most of the new features.

As for the lag, I read about it somewhere and there is already a fix... if you have 1GB Ram that is.

I cant find where the fix thing is, but i neeed to sleep c yaz

Heh, alright, tried out CS2... a "trial" version *cough cough*. lots of cool stuff in it, but I think for now I'm just gonna stay with CS since most of the new features are stuff that I just dont' need. Mainly the features are geared toward picture touch up and stuff, and most of the other stuff they add are done better in Macromedia Studio MX. Thanks guys.

Agreed, CS2 is something we won't basically need. Let's just stick with CS.
