Prediction:
Similar to the famous free services under the .com boom..
Everyone will rush to offer free space.. up too a point where there cost gets too high.. Then suddenly it will disappear.. maybe even completely.

They are already down...
We are receiving so many requests for our free 1 TB/500MB attachment email account that you may experience a downtime regarding receiving email for a few hours as we are currently adding more email servers so you can enjoy our site for many years to come.

BTW - my email their is [email protected] -- send me some 500mb attachments so we start the downhill spiral...

What if the server is smart enough to do a md5 on the file and only keep one copy?

I had 3 yahoo acounts and they are about 60 percent full,

I think yahoo has a "delete" button to actually delete some emails every now and then
