Well one thing is for sure, if MB does make a cabrio version of the CL it will not have the atrocious lines that this (bad) custom job has. I'm assuming the rear section was kept to retain the structural integrity so the rear quarter panels don't fold in on themselves.

no, I think that is real! The position with the top down and top up is slightly different. If it was photoshopped, then why bother taking two pics of the car? They would have just taken a picture and modify it with top down and top up. That, I am affraid, is an asshole owner who had it convert to a CABRIO. And it seems they did not do a great job.
