Pooled water is a crap shoot when you traverse it - as witnessed by the number of other folks send either spinning or squirrelly by the pooled water on the trip yesterday
As it is 11 inch wide tryes, no matter what the tread depth or tread pattern will be more likely to hydroplane than skinny sedan tyres..

nothing that extreme has happened to me in the jeep... but once when only 2wd was engaged, and a heavy rain, i hydroplaned something fierce, which i was able to recover @50mph. its pretty crazy as you arent expecting that at all.
