You cant even say that the Evolution is faster based on one video. Just like you cant say the STi is faster based on another video. These cars performance is so close that its very hard to call. So what if the Evolution take the STi in this battle, the STi Spec C in Best MOTORing is faster than any stock japanese car, beside the NSX-R. I think the STi Spec C and the Evolution 7 RS (the 3rd quickest after the STi) time difference isnt even .5s, thats how close the performance is.

It understeer hard in that video though, not sure why, possibly the driving style of the stig. Thats my only conclusion, anyways, once again this is a very cool video.

I agree with you rollaznimport, but more than three seconds off the pace.. Thats too damn slow. Infact I was expecting WR1 to atleast kick the FQ301's Backside.. It didnt even do that.. (Ouw My Gyod!)..
It is Absolutely horrible video for any STi Fans out here.. Sorry guys Hate to break it but WR1.. Petter Solberg Edition, the person that thrashes Evo8s in Rallying.. His versioned car is a CRAP compared to the road going Evo8..

Every single review and test drive that I have ever seen has always pointed out that the WRX understeers.

In regards to that BM video, the Evo GSR beat the WRX STi by almost 2 seconds (final result). Even if the difference is only .5s, the WRX couldn't beat the GSR on any lap, and those .5s added up.

Btw, isn't .1s about a car length? That would mean that the GSR beat the WRX by about 5 car lengths per lap, and almost 20 for the race. That's a lot.
