to sleepy fish i go...

in my area, and most of the US, we dont have speed cameras... i think it would be kinda dificult to detect if it uses radar, like most speed guns if the radar is pointed the direction traffic is moving... of course, radar does bounce off the cars in the opposing direction at a red shifted movemnt (slightly lower frequency)
over here the police have to release details of every fixed speed camera in the country therefore the new detectors use gps to warn you of fixed cameras and as long as you keep your database up to date (supscription from the manufacturers) you should be safe!

Here you are RC45
BTW quality ain't to good but you get the idea, i expect jabba did it at some point but it'll be deep in everyones collection LOL

OK - that laser detector has done the rounds of various testers... it is great if the copper sgoots wildly at you - waving it about and giving you ample warning.

Many times the cop is standing over the hood or roof of the car and is very steady - and only shoots once - directly at your car without bathing the entire neighbourhood in with laser beams..

ANd just like instant on radars - if you get "shot" with an accuarate short burst - you are going down..

yeah but the company who let 5th gear test it weren't going to tell you that were they really there needs to be independant testing to establish how reliable these thinkgs are, but since they are a bit dodgy on the legal side i doubt we'll see proper testing

here in the US, the FCC prevents the lawful use of many frequncies without a licence... hence why radar jammers are illegal

however..... optics dont yet fit in this catagory! even tho most laser jammers ive read about dont work well, it is perfectly legal.... curently, that is

Im sure if you got one of those chrome cars that ive seen so many pic of, you'd be able to jam lazer no problem... and if you had a flat-black car with all wierd angles, then you'd be able to jam radar... its that simple. lol
