Idd, VW did the same thing with the Passat prototype (Mercedes camouflage), if my memory serves me right.

Idd it's a common trick car manufactures do. They want to draw as less as intention possible to their prototypes, so that's why they want to deceive possible viewers with camouflage so it will look like another brand, or by using a mule.

Another example of such a camouflage: the new Focus sedan, Ford uses specific stickers so it would look like the rear of a BMW 3 series.

it's not just the grill that makes it look like a merc, it is the hood, and the lines of the car from the front fender to the bumber.

I know it's not only the front that makes the car, but it matters very much!
Don't know what I think about the car overall!

Compare the lines of the front with a Conti GT, they look almost exactly the same (even the shape of the grill behind the camouflage). Also tge way the A-pillar smoothly flows into the V-shaped bonnet is the same as with the Conti GT.

very very nice disguise But looking at the lines closely, it is clearly not as bulky as the Rolls (but of course, it is built to compete with the S-Class, can't be that bulky rite?) The more important thing should be what are the engine choices. It better have at least 400 in it or the twin tubro in the Mercedes gonna blow this away.

First I thought that this is really sad. A Bentley that looks so much like a Mercedes. But if (or rather when) they stick a grill like the one on the continental GT on it and does something about those head lights, this can look good without looking too much like the Mercedes. The tail is rather Bentley'ish, if you ignore the lights. I think this definitely has potential!

This doesn't tell us too much about the final car, though. Sometimes it's the details that makes the difference between okay and beautiful cars.

looks like, but we'll have to wait a little to see the results. And is it the "new" arnage?

bentley as most car makers, cut costs, etc. to save some money, and some parts are exactly the same.

I made a poor comparison:

1.- the hood/bonnet lines are the same.
2.- headlamps look to me as the same lamp, but different surroundings
3.- wheel arches have the same lines, to me look exactly the same
4.- the mirrors...maybe they're twins
5.- door handle
6.- more wheel arches, and the defense are the same
7.- the grill down lines are exact copies.

won't be called Arnage. It could very well be on sale alongside the Arnage. It will probably be called Continental Flying Spur or something. like the old one.

One of our photoshopers could make a projection of how it will look like, by putting the Conti GT grille and removing the stickers.
