English and some Broken French (been 3 years since I needed to use it) I refuse to speak Spanish just because everyone in the US seems to have to now, however racist that may sound. I speak Mechanic also Zfrk knows we have our own language.

posi kurec? ummm english, spanish, and serbian/bosnian. i cant write serbian/bosnian for shit. but i speak all three fluently. when i was younger my grandma taught me albanian, i was like 4-5 and going to school i had already learned serbian/bosnian and learning english which was kinda tough for me...and to learn a third was a big no-no so my grandma stopped speaking to me in albanian so i really dont remember it that well.

Damn that sounds almost polish.

The ony part I didnt get is "pak bych Ti"

I guess I could learn to understand Czech with maybe a year and a half worth of work? Considering I already understand 4 other Slavic languages.

ok I just went to some czech sites and I can understand bits and peices enough to understand what is going on.

Very similar to Polish. You Czechs must understand Polish easy...

I always warm to people who speak multiple languages with ease. A very, very good Belgian buddy of mine speaks 100% fluently in English, French, German, Dutch and Flemish.

However, another friend of mine speaks Afrikaans, English, Zulu and Xhosa (which is the "clicking" language of South Africa, and is very, very, very hard for a non-native to pick up), which is an awesome feat for a white man born in England, but raised in SA.

^^ well, dependiong on his age, he would have had english and afrikaans taught at school, and then depending on the region he was in xhosa or zulu as the instructed language, and the the other as an elective.

I am still 100% fluent in my written and spoken english and afrikaans, can get by understanding conversational dutch and have all but forgotten everything learned in xhosa and zulu - other than some swear words, hello and good bye...

I'm obviously reasonably fluent in English, but have a reasonable understanding of Italian and Japanese. I can usually pick out the meaning of what someone else says in Spanish as well, thanks to the fact that I was coerced into studying it for 8 years.
