Ugly! And it's just simply ugly, not shocking at all like the 7 or the Z4 or the 5...it's a miss.

Hmmm... if the back would look better this would become an awesome looking car. But the interior looks better than the actual one, appears to be better quality. It for sure looks better than the 5 and 7 series

I swear, if they make the trunk design of the 7 into the 3 series, I will be smacking their heads with the big thick german owners' manual

Exactly what I was thinking. . .
I noticed that they moved the fender blinkers back down towards the middle of the fender instead of being higher up. . .

oh well, looks good, like a softened mini 5-series
It for sure looks better than the 5 and 7 series

Obviously the back is the problem of that car. But I think the best of this model will come with the Coupe and M versions expected for 2006. To me the perfect BMW is the 6 Series.

wow...in my eyes, it couldnt get too much better than that, and I LOVE the interior. Of all the BMWs I drove over the summer (virtually every model sold here in the USA), the 5-series had my favorite interior (7-series was wonderful, but was more complicated).
not too too fond of the rear end though...looks like a smushed upset 5-series rear-end.
I hear they're coming out with a 3.5-liter inline-6 for the 6-series at some point, which uses the same throttle-body-less technology as the 545/745/X5 4.4i engine...if this is still true, I hope they put that in the 3-series...335i 8)
and active steering?!? on this thing?? I'm assuming that they're gonna be extremely smart about it because with a system like that on a car with a much smaller wheelbase than the 5-series, it could get real touchy. Even the 5-series I drove with active steering were kinds twitchy (until i got used to it).
looks like they're doing some awesome stuff with that car though...as usual...it's BMW, what do you expect?
